doesn't fit the MR because of the transmission

probably okay to run without that bracket if nothing is rubbing. *probably*

Haven't done this myself as I have a GSR and went with a CAI, but a buddy of mine ran a K&N with no mounting bracket and it seemed to work just fine.

i've got the K&N in my GSR, its an awkward fit and the bolt gets loose anyways.

why would you install something that does not fit your car? I mean I am sure since a few of you have done this and have no problems but why even spend the money for something that does not have brackets that secure it to your vehicle? Seems ghetto to me.
