issue about k&n intake evo x mr

Hi guys im newbie in all this evo stuff maybe you guys already discuss about this but im just trying to make sure everything
Just got k&n typhoon intake kit and i install them on to my 2014 evo x mr but the mounting bracket won't fit at all i know theres a lot of people got same issues is there anything i can do? Anybody have some kind of solution for this bracket? I saw diffrent thread some people flip over this bracket or something didn't figure how any suggestion? Please help!!!!!!!!
And is it safe just let it stay like this without bracket?

doesn't fit the MR because of the transmission

probably okay to run without that bracket if nothing is rubbing. *probably*

been running my k&n for about a year and a half without any mounting bracket and no issues. you should be fine.

Haven't done this myself as I have a GSR and went with a CAI, but a buddy of mine ran a K&N with no mounting bracket and it seemed to work just fine.

i've got the K&N in my GSR, its an awkward fit and the bolt gets loose anyways.

why would you install something that does not fit your car? I mean I am sure since a few of you have done this and have no problems but why even spend the money for something that does not have brackets that secure it to your vehicle? Seems ghetto to me.
