Engine swap

I hear a lot that the evo IX is by far the best engine there is as far as the evo line is concerned. My question is, would it be possible to fit that engine into a 2014 lancer?

Because a steady foot doesn't qualify as cruise control

Of course it's possible - It all depends on your knowledge, funds and motivation.

just sell your lancer and pick up a IX. That would be practical than the cost of labor to do the swap.

^this.

Too many things are different from the 4B11T and whatever benefit you think you will get won't outweigh just adding a turbo to the existing car, OR JUST GET THE EVO IX! Do you want to drive or fabricate metal bits?

If you wanted a project car, it would probably be better to look for a IX that needs some work, maybe the engine went bad, and you could get a rebuild/upgrade kit and do that?

Also, there is a concern of registering the car, if you swap in an older engine, many times that will not be able to pass emissions. Obviously, there are ways around it, but legally it's a little challenging.
