I engineered a solution to have EvoScan operate automatically on an integrated computer through any HDMI input capable head unit. I also created professional looking EvoScan custom gauges and a gauge layout to work with it. Maybe others can benefit from my work. I posted this to the Evo 1-9 forum, but this could be used with Evo X as well. Below is a link to the forum post with more details, pics, and the files needed to do this yourself. Note: You could also deploy this solution if you wanted to run other types of content from a computer; for example, to re-flash your ECU. You can also grab the gauges content for EvoScan to use for your own custom layout.

This is so cool!! Once I get the time I am going to do this. I currently have a pioneer AVIC BT110 Head unit that I can connect HDMI vía RCA adapter. Just gotta add it to the wiring since it require power.

 

That is pretty amazing, it gives the driver great on-demand information without the need to keep the laptop in the passenger seat. Lots of detail was put into this, really appreciate you for your work and time spent on making these capabilities.

 

Thanks. The only tweaking I have found so far is just windows nonsense. The taskbar wouldn't auto minimize 1/2 the time I was bringing it online. I updated the OS and got rid of a notification or two and its operating like a champ.
