BTW I run 9.0:1 CR and a daily driven 26psi flat boost on pump (93) autoX tested for 2 years now .. everything is possible if a little thought is put into it ..
The reason it can run higher compression is because it could be direct injection/ignition. This could allow for lower cylinder temps by allowing the fuel to cool the chamber. And also injecting at a higher psi of fuel allows for a more efficient burn and more power. Higher compression is allowed but the lack for power still remains a mystery.
