Got my X!!
you act like there is a big difference... with the older cars, you realize that the 5 speed has proven to be a better drag racing transmission... it isnt like the MR is something thats much greater, its just some extra options. u can be heavier, and have an extra gear for gas milage, and road course but doesnt even help in drag racing.

I personally hope the price skyrockets and people can't find MRs for under 45 just so that less people have these cars...especially all the fan boys and nut swingers
It is more expensive because it has more ****...plain and simple. The economy sucks, the dollar is weak, and the cars are getting nicer...what do you expect?

While they may have been valid, Whining about the price I paid was not accomplishing anything. If you don't like the price, let Mitsubishi know by NOT purchasing a car....or buy a base model GSR for $32,000 and skip out on all the new options that weren't available on the IX.
A lot of guys are saying I got ripped off, but they haven't actually shopped for the cars....just read suggested prices online. And I think it is great if people can get a $39,000 MSRP car for less money at some dealer in Southern California....that is outstanding and kudos to you all. That doesn't help me much here in Indianapolis, Indiana. Our economy here is booming and dealers can stick $43,000 tags on the cars and they will sell in a day...our market supports that.
My dealer knows that when I walk in, I buy a car and I pay full MSRP. It helps them by not having to jerk around and it helps me down the road if I need service work. Because I buy cars from them like that, they cover my warranty claims no questions asked...no BS. It is also the same reason that when I said I wanted to be the 1st person to drive the 1st X that came off the trailer...they made that happen. I don't hassle them, they treat me well.
