evo bas is 32k, he got hte 2000 aero kit, thats 34k. Hopefully he got the navi package which would have made it 36k, plus fees and tax? I see no SSS package though

i dunno why you would say that...he's happy with the 5MT, i will assume most people will opt for the GSR instead of the MR model.

BTW, I'm sure there are SEVERAL SEVERAL SEVERAL people who bought Evo 8s and 9's for 40k in years past, why are people giving him sht for buying an Evo 10 for 40k? He missed out on some good deals, so what, but he is still one of the first Evo 10 owners in the states and he's loving it.

Let him enjoy his new beast

I am letting him enjoy it. And I'm sure more people prefer the Manual over SST (I'm not one of them). I'm just saying the effect is long term.

Right now it's all good but when he realizes how much he could've saved, he might be dissapointed in the price, not the car.

IMO, anyway.

That sure is nice!

In some places, MSRP IS a deal! He paid what the sticker says. What's the big deal? Not every region is the same. Some you pay more, some you pay less. And remember, it has TAX on it. Wait until you see the MR final price...can you say $45,000?????

And besides, you pay $40,000, or you pay $38,000.....big deal!!! If you are able to pay $38K, you can pay $40K. If the $40K is a deal breaker over $38K, then you probably shouldn't be buying one.

Wrong. $2,000 is a huge difference as dependant of your APR can cause your monthly payment to jump $100 or more dollars a month.

Just because someone has money doesn't mean they want to spend it. Paying more because your impatient makes you an idiot.

Now that I got that out of my system

I have spent 2 days driving the car, and it drives WAY nicer. It is smooth, quiet, and has a much less choppy ride. I am using the cruise and the NAV is a REALLY good system.

I also had a nice sunny day and was able to take some tight turns. Despite the better ride, there is less body roll, and if you take a really hard turn (like an auto x type turn) the car just friggin digs in and goes exactly where you want it to go. In the 8 I would have to set up for that same turn and toss the weight off a bit in order for the car to not understeer and rotate easily, then the rear would have slid out slightly. One this car, the front just tucked in and there was no chance for understeer. Where the other car would have carried the rear around a bit, this car just stayed glued..the electronics took over.

As for speed, I didn't beat on it too hard yet and I defiantely have not launched it, but I did pull through 3 gears a couple times. It feels just a fast, if not faster, than my 05 off the dealer lot.

So far I couldn't be happier. A couple things to note...the back seat is a bit smaller and the trunk is pretty small. I put my suitcase, camera, and computer bag back there and that was completely full. Also, the stereo sucks just like the last one...so the upgraded setup is proabably the way to go for those that like music.

I'm out of town for a week and all I can think about is going home and pulling her out of the garage for a nice run down a twisty road

Don't even bother replying to the idiots. They are just jealous you have an X.

Just get in and drive and laugh at them.....

yo DRAG, can you compare the Apex Silver on your Evo X to the Apex Silver on your Evo 8? Is the AS on your X a lot richer?

Honestly I haven't looked all that close. I am out of town so I will compare closer when I get home, but at first glance it looks identical to me.

I paid MSRP...what part of that do you not understand? Add the options that I have to your MR and I guarantee that MR will MSRP easily over $40,000.

Either way...take your bull**** somewhere else. Go talk **** about what you are going to do someday in someone else's thread. It is annoying. The car is great and I love it and I feel like it is worth ever penny of the MSRP that I paid
Incredible. You must not be reading anything or are trying to argue with someone else and quoted me instead because nothing you're saying makes any sense.

You paid MSRP. Congratulations! You didn't get ripped off! I'm paying MSRP for an MR! Congratulations! I'm not getting ripped off either!

Where the hell is the argument in that?

Too bad some EvoM people are retarded.
