Anyone buy this new IPOD deck yet? I really want to buy it, but i am not sure if they fixed the bugs in the old one.

Best Buy wants $299.99 for it brand new.

 

i did. just waiting for my din kit and harness to arrive. obviously dont know the bugs yet until i put it in. by the way wrong thread. should be in audio.

 

bugs in the old one? like what? i have the "old" one and i have not ran into any probs with it, other than the way the text scrolls. i actually really like the unit.

 

let us know how the din kit looks and fits once you do the install, curious in case i get me a X

I have one with bluetooth, and no problems so far.

 

is this the newer model to the Alpine IDA-X001?? Is the only difference they've added a cd player?

The original batch had a connection bug with the ipod as well as file opening issues. The new batches have been out for a while and the product is already going away as its on clearance the x001 that is good idea but still if you want to listen to cd's well you cant! not unless you want to purchase a cd changer ,lets see what we start carrying for the next model line up because over the years we have been carrying crappier and crappier decks better amps and subs but the decks are getting worse. oh by the way I work for Best Buy Geek Squad Autotech Senior (I run the shop and my employees) First Class MECP(Mobile Electronics Certification Program) Certified

 

Alpine is releasing a whole family 100, 200, 300, etc. I believe the 100 is the top of the line. I love the idea, I found the using the other button instead of the center button on the 001 to be annoying. Did Alpine fix that?

 

hmmm...that ipod radio looks pretty good...need some ideas on my radio set up...hehe

 

i do admit i dont like the "other" button... i want to use the center button like my ipod (x001).

other than that i have had zero issues with connection and files opening. also, i bought the product cause i didnt want cds any more. i have zero cds in my car and i LOVE it.

 

are they going to add a CD player on this HU?
