I have noticed and read that it does seem to have less upper end hesitation after 1000 miles , currently the boost falls fast over 6000 and add in the factor its very rich well its just not pulling hard past that. the torque band is fat and heavy down low which is good it feel very strong from 2.5-5 where most people will drive it. when we get a tune and exhaust this baby will come alive. you need an intake airfilter to help with some of the stock fumbling in the upper end for now. just wait a little longer and we should be doing great. if it cont to idle rough take it back to the dealer ship and have them look at it.

Thanks, yea that was the plan a while back. The new ones at first started growing on me and than when I saw them in person I new it was going to be a X.

The rough idle is pretty normal I think for most people from what I am hearing. So I doubt the dealer will do anything about it. I hope they get the reflashing going quick. I am at 907 miles ...so I am going to find out really soon if things run good up top.

I have a question, I have around 800 miles on the car thus far. The car really runs weird past 5-5.5k RPM. Like it starts to vibrate and lose power or something. I thought break in was 500. Is it because it needs to break into 1000 miles like I have been hearing? lets freaking hopes so. I am pulling my hair out. It seems like the car is slower after 5k RPM. HELP PLEASE . It isn't even worth revving it past that.

Also it has a rough idle, is that normal. It isn't huge but you can notice the RPM needle fidget a little. The engine is suppsed to make that ticking sound too right? My friend said it is the timing belts and it is normal.

Sorry guys, new car paranoia.
Nice i traded in my 07 civic si so we are used to rev the engine all the way 8K and Vtec to get the power which isn't the case in X

I love the way this thing pull and buzz like an angry bee in 3rd gear

Love the rear shot!

It seems a lot of people made a similar jump as me. I remember when the new SIs came out. What a stir they made with the RSX community when everyone found out they were running on the same K20 as the 04 Type_S. Good choice, white FTW! Hope to see you around since you are in IL. I am still getting used to it, the rev is so much different than the Acura . Fast though but I can't shift for **** and the car bogs and hops when I do it fast . I'm used to power shifting my Acura.

Thanks!. Actually today for the first time I pushed it a bit closer to red line since I am near 1000k miles now. My shift to second was pretty good. I think the problem is I ma trying to short shift and shift fast. I admire the welcome to the EVO community here.

Thats funny... I am glad that we aren't dicks, just a plethora of knowledge, not me, but they are all over these boards.
