Welcome me and my new EVO :)

Hey, welcome me to the EVO forums please. My previous car was an 2006 Acura RSX-S. Traded her in for a 08 EVO X(SSS,NAVI,kit). Love the car so for but I have never owned a car like this(mainly just hondas) and I posted because of this some questions below the pictures. Thanks in advance.

I have a question, I have around 800 miles on the car thus far. The car really runs weird past 5-5.5k RPM. Like it starts to vibrate and lose power or something. I thought break in was 500. Is it because it needs to break into 1000 miles like I have been hearing? lets freaking hopes so. I am pulling my hair out. It seems like the car is slower after 5k RPM. HELP PLEASE . It isn't even worth revving it past that.

Also it has a rough idle, is that normal. It isn't huge but you can notice the RPM needle fidget a little. The engine is suppsed to make that ticking sound too right? My friend said it is the timing belts and it is normal.

Sorry guys, new car paranoia.

You are used to vtec engines. I thought the same thing when I went from an rsx-s to evo. The increase in hp isn't as linear as it is in hondas.

Thanks, so I am guessing that is normal. Do you guys rev past 5k when you race?

Thanks for the congrats guys. I'm really loving the car. I think maybe it is that running rich problem I am having that needs to be re flashed or something.
