Need to get this thread back on the first page. Here's my evo mostly stock, had it for about a year now.

Put on stoptech slotted rotors and sport pads on about a month ago. Brembos need a little help though.

I wish. You're living the dream by owning both.

You would think that...but when it comes to insurance, maintenance and upkeep and the want to mod both of them it starts to get pricey lol

What are some of the similarities and differences between the two?

So this is all my opinion obviously, a few things I have noticed. The X is feels more refined, smoother power roll on whereas the IX seems more of raw power. The handling on the X seemed better even before I put the coilovers on. I do like the height of where you sit in the IX and with the X its lower. Similarities...I mean both amazing cars but I'm bias and love Evo's and I've had issues with both but I chalk that up to owning evos. I have seen electrical issues with the X that I haven't seen with the IX or the VIII I had before. I strongly dislike the turbo placement on the X though. Cant wait to relocate it. That's about it I guess I really enjoy driving either one to be honest.

Put on the gsr grill and cover, deleted the fogs, and blacked out the headlights this past weekend. Kept the chrome surround, and didnt paint the blinkers to do something different. And the greddy front lip a month or so ago.

Got ride of the cracked defuser for the GReddy! She's a bit dirty but feels good to have her body back together. Got the new headlights on with all the HIDs in as well.
