That first shot looks like Mercury Gray. But that's the right paint code. Maybe it just happens to be a lighter batch? have you seen another Phantom black in person? That paint code is only on the Evo X.

 

Ya I've seen two in person and both looked to have a bi deeper black than mine. I'm gonna buy a nice set up o detailing products, maybe try and find one meant to help for black paint. And give it a shot when we have a few days without snow soon

thanks man! i contemplated putting on black tails, but think i'm more fond of the stock ambers.

next step.. considering going either wingless or Varis euro / voltex type 1s.
