Since lots of people have been curious as to what a modded X would look like lowered, I figured I'd be the guinea pig per say. 2 minutes and 6 bolts later, the wing is off. Here are the pics:









I already put the wing back on, but I think with a nice lip spoiler the wingless look could work.

Definitely needs a X wing. Looks incomplete without it.

 

I'm a huge believer in keeping the evo wing on an evo, but I can't deny that your car looks really aggressive either way.

Looks too soft in the back without the wing, IMHO.

 

Well I like the look. I think that is how I would keep mine if I had a X. But I also took the wing off my IX, so I maybe a little bias. Nice car!

 

i think that it looks great either way, but IMO, a lip on the rear end would kill both options haha, great looking car BTW

looks ok. Yes a lip spoiler is nice looking when my buddy went for his reflash we were looking a all the lancers and a few had lip spoilers on them very nice looking.

 

You car looks good but I don't think it has to do with the wingless part. I say that because there is another pic on here with someone who went wingless but is stock everywhere else and it looks like poop imo. The drop and black rims really hit the spot. I think it looks better that way but with the wing.

 

Wingless evo definitly FTW. Very nice nice car. Now you can sell the wing for an extra dough and buy a trunk lip maybe if they have it.

 

When you took the wing off, was there a ton of tape holding the wing on as well...or was it just the bolts?

I kinda like it...

 

There was just a little tape, pulled right off with the wing.

 

Good to know, when I took the wing off of my VIII I actually pulled little dents up trying to pry the wing off after I took the bolts out. That tape was super strong!

 

That is one pissed off looking lancer GTS . Thank god the wing is back on.
