Are you running stock strut or aftermarket? and which takes up more room?

If I'm running on stock MR suspension (may consider -0.9 drop with Works springs), will +22 10.5 wheels clear or still need a 5mm spacer?

I am running coil overs, and I think the c/o take more space near the tire because of the securing lugs.

You might need 5mm spacers just to be safe and/or if running 275mm tires or more (285 in my case), another good idea would be to use long studs whenever spacers are used.

I noted the Evasive Motorsports Evo X is slammed and also has BBK in the front, please clarify.

Thanks,
Yes, you are correct. The CE28N in 19x10.5 +22 would not fit a stock Evo X without a spacer and fender roll.

You need 5 mm spacer at least to make them fit.

Quoted for truth!

If I run 265-35-19 tires, can I get away without fender roll in the rear?

So I guess the 5mm spacer is mandatory, regardless. Who makes extended wheel studs for Evo?

Anytime man!

Anyways, 18x10.5 +18 CE28N's with 275/35/18 would fit nicely without any spacers. The only thing you have to do is to roll all fenders. Ryan Gates (Blacktrack) runs these wheels and tires and uses this setup in the track as well.

One more thing, if you are going to add more camber DO NOT add camber at the strut bottom, this will move the tire nearer to the strut, instead add a camber plate and do it at the top and leave the clearance from the wheel to strut.

Thanks for the suggestion! But I came across a set of CE28N 19x10.5 +22 at a very good deal that is too hard to pass up.

I don't mind having the spacer in front, but prefer not to roll the fenders at this point. So if I run 265-35-19 tires, can I get away without fender rolling?

First: The clearance problem is tire to strut SO the tire is the real issue here, 275 and below SHOULD fit with no spacers BUT kep in mind that not all tires are exactly the same even if they advertise as 275 the actual size might vary.

Second: ARP makes the studs, the same ones that fit EVO 7 thru 9 fit the X

with 285 the flaring, pulling and everything else has to be done EXTENSIVELY! So sty with 275-265, but I think having 10.5 with 265 or less is a waste, I would rather use 10 or 9.5 instead if the tire is not going to be more than 265, but that is just my opinion...

If you will install those tires in a set of 19x10.5 +22 rims, you will have to get the rear fenders rolled.

If you are planning on running a set of 19x10.5 +22 rims, the 5 mm spacer is a MUST for the fronts to clear the struts. Search the forum and you could find a lot of vendors who are selling ARP Extended Wheel Stud Kits for the EVO X.

Pull, roll, studs, spacers and camber plates... And if I need to do all this regardless (more with some applications than others, but still have to) then WHY stay on 265s, take advantage of the extra witdh and install at least 275s.

You're right, actual tire size varies from different brands and model. Usually the more aggressive track tires are more bulgy at the sidewalls than street tires. I will probably look into Advan Sport 265-35-19.

Too bad the CE28Ns jumps from 9.5 to 10.5, but the latter does give more lip

LVSBB6,
I can vouch for Carrito coz he definitely knows what he is doing.

He gives excellent advice.

Why run on 265s when you can take advantage of the extra width and install at least 275s or even 285s if have ***** like carrito. LOL!
