WTF? That is ugly. I don't get trying to make your Evo look like some ghetto ricer wannabe. Want black wheels? Buy some nice black wheels. Spray painting stock wheels just cheapens your car and your own image.

I'm sorry - you just destroyed your wheels.
Hardly, paint thinnner could be taken to the wheels to easily remove the black paint, and depending on what he sanded with he can polish them back. You wouldn't even be able to tell.

Looks good. As long as you scuffed the paint well and gave it several light coats of paint it should stick. I'm just a bit leary about spending $40 painting wheels on my $32K car. I would recommend clearcoating them to seal the paint, especially if you're doing a matte or flat finish since that kind of paint doesn't seal well. You can get matte clearcoat, even in a spraycan if you want.

No way, the wheels are painted and clear coated. You sand and paint it and it is pretty much gone. If you take off the black paint, you'll be stripping it down and destroying the clear coat and paint. You'd need to repaint the wheels to get it back to new condition.

Try sanding and painting over the paint on your car and see if you can bring it back to new with some paint thinner...

The car looks much more aggressive now. Money well spent.

Cheers!

Oh shoot, I'm in Plantation. Black MR on its way here next week. I'm pretty sure I've seen the red one by the IHOP in University and Sunset Strip.
