i think the matte black color would be a sick paintjob but i think you need to mix in an accent color with it. nothing too flashy but it would be a good touch

 

it even makes those cars ugly

The Evo might be able to pull it off, I Benz does not IMHO. All I know is that I would not like to be the first, and that it would be a PIA if you wanted it done right, IE pulling ou tthe interior, engine etc to really get it painted right.

 

a matte finish on an evo would definately look hot... there is a few evo 8/9s with the same finish. also, getting a matte finish on the car cost the exactly the same as if you got a glossy finish.

 

It would look siiick! This is one of the reason why I got Graphite Grey - I love how stealthy it looks without the added maintenance of black. I'm not baller enough to do the flat-type paint like these guys so that's why i got it. If you got the $$$ then go for it!

i saw one at super autobacs this weekend. but it had a bad paint job. i think it was some track car or something...not a DD.

 

I'm a fan of flat black and thought about doing exactly this on my X actually. I work at a body shop, so cost is non-existent so thats nice. Mine is RR tho, so I'd be wayyy too much of a process, especially when I'm re-doing a 68 Camaro right now. Dont really have the time/motivation to tear another one apart. Before I started to re-do the camaro I had it painted flat-black and put a big punisher skull on the hood...now that was cool.

 

i dont think flat black would look good, just would like like it was primered or something.

 

I think It would look slick as hell!
