Full Stealth
I'm a fan of flat black and thought about doing exactly this on my X actually. I work at a body shop, so cost is non-existent so thats nice. Mine is RR tho, so I'd be wayyy too much of a process, especially when I'm re-doing a 68 Camaro right now. Dont really have the time/motivation to tear another one apart. Before I started to re-do the camaro I had it painted flat-black and put a big punisher skull on the hood...now that was cool.
If it's done right it looks great. I had considered doing my X (once I get it) in Satin black.... like flat but w/ a little more sheen to it.
I'm just wondering how hard tough the maintenance on satin black would be... I wonder if small door dings/paint chips would stand out more vividly than with a gloss finish?
One of my good friends is a really good body guy & I've helped him out with body work on a few classic cars... he owes me shop time. I could get it done for cost, not sure about it yet though.
Check out this S15.

sick s15!!
BTW: i enjoy the stealth appeal. all black just has sinister (sp?) written all over it!! but in the real world, any car i see painted matte black and looks as good as any of the posted pics in this thread, well, lets just say i wouldn't consider them to be stealth at all.
