I painted them. Powdercoat people wanted almost $500.

Nice toys! What did you use to paint them and what steps did you take in doing so? Has anyone had experience in how long painted rims will last without peeling or flaking?

I cleaned them up real good, sanded the whole rim with 320 grit sand paper, cleaned them off with brake cleaner, then masked off everything I didnt want painted (dont forget the valvestem) then applied 2 coats of duplicolor gunmetal wheel paint.

So far there isnt any chips or flakes and they are holding out strong. Not bad for a grand total of like $40. Took about 6 hours to do though.
