these are fluid connections from Adel Wiggens and they work by using an o-ring on each pipe end with an internal sealing sleeve that is held in place by the purple retaining clamp. so, no real tightening, just push the o-rings together in the sleeve and clip the clasp together... done.

ahh ok, I can kind of visualize it...but it's kind of hard to imagine because i suppose you would really have to buy the clap precisely in the size you want bc you need them extremely tight for the IC and what not

you're welcome.

Adel Wiggens actually makes it pretty easy, just not cheap
its a 5 partnumber deal, 2x weld end ferrules, 2x o-rings, and 1x purple retention clasp

and they offer them in most common sizes from .5" to 4.5"

here's a bit of a "build up" of how the wiggens were installed on the compressor housing for this build:







the compressor outlet was trimmed back with a bandsaw




I didn't want the weld to show on the outside.




in this picture of one of a weld ferrule(welded at the end of both connecting pipes) you can see where the o-ring sets in the left side groove.


for welding to cast, it makes it much easier to turn down the thin portion on the bottom of the ferrule

sorry, we've been busy building parts and I forgot to update the thread....

I'm sure the Driveline guys will be adding more pics.
