Steve's Stage One EVO X in China

Hi everyone. I am Steve from Shanghai, China. Here comes my toy. For interior, I have put up some stuffs like SST stick head and hand brake; Ralliart CF covers on mirror and air-con panel, Ralliart pedals and DEFI meters.

For exterior, there are Ralliart front spoiler, spoiler intake ducts, frontend and pillar garnishes; HKS Kansei bonnet intake duct, side garnish and tow hook; JUN bulet side mirrors; SARD GT wing and COLT SPEED badge. Handling goodies included CUSCO front/end/bottom struct bars and anti-roll; Ohlins DFV, Advan RZ and Dunlop Z1. Power-wise since it is still running-in there are only HKS ramair intake set, SSQV and mid-tail exhaust. I did like COLT SPEED bonnet dampers and wiper blades very much.

I'll be the first one to say it. Your car looks great!! I would have done a more aggressive offset for the wheels but otherwise looks very good!

You sure this is a real evo and not some hooked up Cherry or something. Gots to be careful of our asian counterpart.

How do you like the Ohlins compare to the OEM stuff.

Car looks nice. wing is a bit too big for my taste, but hey that's just me.

The following are my planned 2nd and 3rd stages of upgrade:

2nd stage (after run-in):

1. MOTUL 300V + CUSCO oil tank
2. Billion BB4 brake oil
3. HKS EVC 5 (35th anniversary) turbo controller
4. Ralliart thermostat + Billion anti-freeze coolant
5. HKS 8 degree spark plugs
6. Samco pipes
7. SUN AUTO stablizer

3rd stage (before next summer):

1. HKS oil cooler
2. DENSO intercooler
3. SARD valve
4. HKS/TOMEI adjustable pulley + belt
5. FERODO brake pad + drilled brake discs
6. HKS catalyzer + Tomei front pipe, outlet
7. HKS intercooler pipe
8. OKADA PROJECT sparkling system

BTW, the keyless system in this 09 version is still affecting the operation of my HKS turbo timer. The breakthrough I can manage to find out is to insert the key (pull out from the keyless remote) into the ignition switch to somehow "reset" it then you can lock the door while the turbo timer is working. Not perfect but seems like the only way to do it without waiting until the turbo timer stops before you can lock the door.

Honestly the black rims make it look "small" and in fact I did want to try more aggressive 19" offsets to make it look even "sick". But the road condition here in China is real bad so it could be real nightmare for me as advised by my tuner.
