I'm not sure about power since I have yet to put it on a dyno... however my butt dyno says the pick up is alot quicker.

For my first time ever doing something like this I would have to give this a 3-4 where doing an oil change is a 1. Getting the bumper off was the easiest part of the install. It took me about 25 minutes the first time, now I could do it in 10. Of course the piping was the most time consuming making sure everything was fitted correctly.

Looks good man!

I'm still trying to decide if I should go with the LICP or not. The hardest part about taking the bumper off for me was those stupid screw clips.

Nice install, I'm probably going to be doing the same installation in a few weeks. Looks like you got one of the last of the FMICs with sheetmetal end tanks.

I'd assume the design change is to make it easier to swap to an upgraded turbo? That or it's cheaper to just supply a silicone reducer, then having an actual hard pipe.

we switched to silicone for that turbo outlet section to allow for an even smoother transition. Both ways perform very well and on the dyno you might never see a difference. We just thought we could make it a little cleaner and smoother on the transition so we had that piece made out of silicone.

Thanks for the post and the car looks GREAT! let us know if there is anything else we can help you with in the future!

Yeah, I know. Last week the pic on the AMS web site was the sheet metal ones when I ordered my FMIC. Now just a few days later they came out the casted ends. Kind of *grrrr* about that.. They didn't even say anything on the phone that the new one was about to come out.
