I didnt comment on anything regarding the "insignificant drag above 100" since it's illegal to drive that fast on U.S. roads. If you track your car every weekend obviously that's more important to you. Thanks.
Your 0-60 time didn't decrease at all by removing your wing. Just shut up. Good lord... Anybody with half a brain can look at the stock wing and see that it would do nothing in double-digit speeds. But to humor you and this blatant display of a lack of common sense, I'll go look for some aerodynamic studies on the stock wing. They'll probably be in Japanese, but oh well.

If you pick up little skanks at the mall, keep the wing. If you have to drive a client to lunch, lose it.

The wing on the Evo is there because the car is rally-inspired. If you don't think it belongs and make statements like you just did, you need to just go buy a Lexus as somebody mentioned earlier, cause the Evo is clearly "beneath" you.

You think the recaros with faux carbon fiber and harsh noisy ride will trick your client into thinking your wingless EVO is a BMW?

Exactly! Nobody buys an Evo for luxury... well I did, kinda sorta, but it is luxurious compared to my other car.

I keep finding that there are many people out there who buy Evos for all the wrong reasons...

Went wingless on both of my Evos...the X looks even meaner without it, and drops 15lbs.

Removing that 15 lb simply makes the weight distribution of the car worse... in multiple ways since you're then removing the source of downforce for the rear of the car.

But I guess some people have Evo's for show... which is the only reason I could imagine removing the rear wing.

or because people think that you;ll attract less attention from the cops with no wing..which isnt true..without the wing you still look like a racecar. look at cars like M3s and such they dont have big wings like evos but they still attract attention

some of you guys are way to serious about this wing.

i'll probably go wingless on my car for the following reasons: imo it looks good/meaner, cops, visibility. the 8s and 9s always looked great wingless, i just like wingless!

"Rally inspired" and rally "functional" are two totally different things...however, for anyone that races I would assume they'd keep their highly functional wing on the car.

*sigh* the weight distribution conversation has already been had. Do some searches...
