But I guess some people have Evo's for show... which is the only reason I could imagine removing the rear wing.

Well, if you're in need of downforce there are options other than the OEM wing that will do a much better job. I can't imagine the OEM wing helping much under 100mph anyway. I think I hit about mid 120s on the front straight at Thunder Hill. I don't think I've ever had any problems with traction.

As far as weight distirbution goes...well I'll let you search for the response to that.

And no...my Evos definitely are not for show...Evo 8 had a driver's seat and a cage for the interior...Evo X is getting to that point.

On paper, very much agreed. If you're too lazy to search for what he's talking about, the S-AWC system is electronically variable based on load and slip sensors. Have less weight on one particular wheel, S-AWC will compensate for it to the best of its ability (and from what I hear, pretty damn good ability).

South_Yorkshire Winged Evo!

Ozzy Evo : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T251KQV_3HQ

If you lived in Land of the real cars then you can rock the wing, But we live in land of the Chargers cop cars they have no wing = no wing for us. If you drive with a wing in USA expect minimum of 2 tickets a year. Without a wing expect to get pulled over but might get a warning if your nice. With a wing = automatic rice = ticket + fine = no power mods 4 u. wingless = more mods 4 u.

Where to start with you...Your 450whp galant thats worth 3 grand or your lack of a sense of humor. I track my MR, Its tuned with stock exhaust, runs good sounds good. Don't come on here and tell people whats beneath them or not. There are some people that get in my car that I'd rather not have some load droaning exhaust for. Yes the big wing looks dopey to 35 + aged people that arent on this forum.

Wingless if you're slammed with nice aftermarket wheels, stock wheels should keep the wing

I'm sure they are but you would have to ensure that US model cars have harnesses or you will have to wire them yourself.

Wingless! Can't we all just agree to disagree rather than bringing up hypothetical performance issues to justify our opinons. I went wingless myself just because the damn thing felt like it was going to fall off every time I shut the trunk. Not sure that something that sturdy would provide massive amounts of downforce???

I would say:

- wing if we got a dual exhaust system OR single

- wingless with ONLY single

SO I would rather go on "wing"...and EVO are better looking with a big wing !

Just bought my X and did not like to wing at first. I thought it was too loud, but after a few weeks I realized that is why I bought the car in the first place. An evo is not an evo without that wing!!
