even though the car looks naked without the wing, i would do it if there were a way to get rid of the holes for a reasonable cost (i'm not counting hideous plugs)

The rear looks like a normal Lancer without the wing. I was coming up on one on the highway the other day and I thought it was just a normal lancer until I saw the lower diffuser and dual exhaust. It was a wingless MR, and just didn't look as aggressive without the wing. If the less-aggressive/sleeper look is what you're going for, then go wingless. If you want it to look good, keep the wing.

I decided to take off my wing in advance since I just ordered 1700 Voltex Wing.. and the temporary solution I did was use my wife's scrapbooking crap. She has a Cricut machine... cuts paper/vinyl etc... She has some semi black vinyl leftover and that is what I used... I was going to be creative at first, I browsed all of her cutouts and didn't really see anything that I liked. In the end I just used her black vinyl and cut it straight, covering all the holes.. The two holes where my non sss wing, I used double sided tape leaving one side covered from the "inside of the trunk". then I applied the vinyl on top. As for the tab which didn't have hole from the inside of the trunk I applied one small vinyl cutout and the long one on top... Again, this is my temporary solution until my voltex wing arrives...
