Shift Knob + Short Throw...

So I'm planning on ordering a short throw sometime tonight or tomorrow, and I wanted to get some opinions from people who have used the products...

Right now I'm thinking about going with the Fortune Auto Burnt Ti Shift knob, with a TWM short-throw (and bushings), and a T1R Shift boot. I was hoping you guys would provide feedback on these products and maybe even direct me toward something I haven't looked at yet.

Would you guys go with the T1R knob or the Fortune Auto knob?

How about the TWM vs other short throws?

I'm pretty sure that everything I'm looking at is good stuff, but I was hoping for some insight from people who have already owned the products. If you know of any issues or wish you had bought something instead of one of the products I'm looking at, I'd appreciate that info. I don't really want to drop $300+ on my shifter setup and wish I had gone with something else.

Thanks much.

I ordered TWM SS and WORKS Urethane Bushings for cable bushings and console shifter bushings. Urethane provide rigidity and some flex.

I chose these over solid ALU, bushings from AMS, TWM, or BR. Because metal shrinks alot in the cold and expands more when hot. Urethane has less of this effect. Plus urethane will provide rigidity and some flex, but much less than the stock rubber bushings.

Why is this in the show & shine?

I bought an ARC Titan. No real need for a short shifter.

Thanks for the input... I will definitely look at the urethane bushings. They sound like they may be a good medium between the two.

I saw that thread and read it already - It provides some useful information on the % of throw reduction. It was also created by the same guy who is selling them, so I was hoping for some information from people who weren't going to profit from my purchase

as far as what shift knob to get, I say stick what you like best, everyone likes different things. I have the Arc Titanium one, but any heavy shift knob will do. The heavier the better because the shorter your shifter is (TMW has the most reduced throw) the harder it is to switch gears. And the T1R shift boot is the best looking one I've found.
