Shorty Antenna
Shorty Antenna
IMO, it looks just like the JDM antenna but its not. the antenna came from a nissan versa. it looks like even the sentras have the same antenna. its been playing around in my head until a buddy of mine agreed for us to swap it out. for the versa no alteration is required but to make it fit the evo, a little trimming is required. took me about 15 minutes using a box cutter to trim off the inner rubber and voila my own shorty antenna. it measures 7 inches in length and absolutely no gap at all.

I did the same thing. I took my friends Nissan Versa antenna before he sold it. The fit isn't that great the bottom stretches out a little, but it works.
Somewhere there are Versas running around thinking they are Evos.
no difference in sound at all. surprised you still have sat radio? it was only free for 6 months upon purchase of the X new. i did hear a handful getting it free longer as the car was a demo?
no clue. i bought it last week with 7,800 miles on it, and its been sitting at that dealer for months i'm sure, maybe it was bought by someone within the last 6 months and then traded in?
