Yes! I tried paint stripper and it did not work. THe problem is that the cover has pink mixed into the plastic itself. If it was just painted over, paint stripper would take it off.

So no, there is no way to clear the cover.

What I will do is paint the edges black because there is a lot of red reflection on edges of that cover. Painting them black, will lessen "the pinK effect"



As for an update... no new pix..
I just finished putting new coat of resin over the CF. It should be dry by tomorrow so I can have the most of it put together.

Here's an idea... why don't u just get a can of spray tint, and just throw a really thin coat on the lens, and that should clear up the pink dilemma..... huh huh? :P

 

I have a better idea... hurry the hell up because I want to see this installed!

I think the tale-tell sign was all the ripped up Glamour and Women's magazine pages she was using as surface paper for her work area...

A guy would have used newspapers or paper bags...

I see those mags laying around all over my house from the wifey..

 

I think it would have been better if you had started this project using the ralliart tails instead of the stock pink ones.

 

but who would really take a set of RA tails apart? not many.
