Our stock shift boot is a disgrace. If I saw that in a Kia I would think think it's laughable. I have a friend with a 5-speed Toyota Corolla that has a nicer shift boot.

Other than that, I think the HVAC controls look tacky when lit up at night. They are just a blur of red light and don't look tech or high quality. Maybe that's just my opinion.

These are just minor gripes per the thread title though, I really couldn't care less.

I had my seats redone, most here have not liked them so much though lol. I would like to see the fake carbon stuff replaces with some brushed aluminum and better quality plastics used. My wedding ring easily scratches the plastic in the car (Door handles and Cup Holders). The dash definitely needs something to dress it up some. I would love to dress the dash up with some leather. I did not think about it when the car was just there getting seats. I would also like to see some higher quality materials used in general on the interior, so you did not have take it in to have custom work done. The GSR cloth is some of the worse Ive ever seen and I would rather have the fake BMW Pleather than the crap they put in the MR. Stock Shift boots is pretty bad as well. I have a redline one on the way, but stock should not be as cheap as it is. Its just the same crap they put on the MR interior.

^ I don't think that looks bad, it definitely dresses up the interior a bit. The "Evo X" stitching on the headrests looks tacky, but other than that it's not bad.

I would like to see some suede accents and some colored stitching in the leather.

Im Ok with suede as long as its not any any wear area. When its on the seats or on arm rest areas it starts to look bad really fast no matter the quality of the suede.

3) You spent the time and money to make/purchase/create a carbon fiber "Mitsubishi" logo for the inside of your car. Did you think maybe you were in a Subaru, and wanted to be reminded? It's minor things like that that scream rice to me; oh, look at me, I spent money on a logo, tee-hee. You can think it looks good, your prerogative, but it's leaning towards rice.
4) Spending money on a shifter knob is arguably useful; some feel much better. Spending money on a handbrake is not. There's little reason to do that, unless you're actively using it in competition racing or something, but the fact I can see, what I believe to be, a DVD case in the side pocket, says "I'm going to Blockbuster with my mom" and not "I'm going drifting, yo". The garage door opener in the cup holder is another amusing quirk to me; I'm sure that'll stay in there real well when you're racing, but evidently the harness is needed for your daily trek.

But, hey, each to their own.
I hope you've kept your X's appearance stock brother.. And that "to each their own" line doesn't really fair well after bashing someone like that... Oh yeah, you can go ahead and remove your rear wing if you haven't done so already.. cause in your definition of "rice", that's exactly what it is on the street... And then, IF you take it to the track, you may replace it..

The guy who posted about his interior has 32 posts and likely came on here simply to bash people... go back to the honda forums for that.

it came out nice, but i'd like to see the entire door, dash, etc done by someone and not just the trim pieces.

That's exactly my point, in the past 2 weeks or so i've seen several ignorant posts like this, from several people, seems like evom is filled with a bunch of evo enthusiasts, and a ton of idiots that just like to bash other peoples cars and make overall stupid/useless posts

Sorry to thread jack...

The only parts with the X's interior i'm not happy with stock, is the shift boot, and the interior trim. IMO CF would have looked a lot better

A honda civic full of $525576352764 dollars worth of APC products from Pepboys doesnt mean its not rice...its not about price its about style. I dont think the all black Bride is too bad but the gradation is a bit much.

Only thing that can go is the arm rest. Other then that, there is nothing rice about Bride. Much better then the factory interior. Cleanly done, and flows well. I like it!
