It's a shame that expensive dual-clutch tranny chews up so much HP. Are they ever gonna make a stick R35?

The GTR is a nasty car. And I would probably take it over the X. But I think the X looks alot better. Thats just my opinion

Like it or not, the GTR is the Japanese Godzilla for the time being.

I'd take the GTR if money wasn't an issue but then again.. If I had money.. I'd say screw the GTR go with the V10 R8!

I came from an 09 black GT-R to a 2010 WW Evo MR Touring. I do love my modded Evo, but a GT-R it is not. The GT-R is my all time favorite car and I can't wait to to get another one to compliment my Evo MR.

Amazing that there's that much performance in 7300 pounds worth of cars...

What have you done for mods though? Modded could be a drop in filter and cat back.

They won't make the GT-R into a slower car. There are way too many misconceptions about the GT-R's transmission out there. There are many GT-R owners pushing crazy hp through the transmissionn with no ill effect. You just can't be a dunce and launch it 10 times in a row with no care for temps.

The GT-R isn't a car to buy if you are adverse to maintenance costs. In 18 months I went through $4K in tires, $1K in oil changes and a $2K tranny fluid change. Aftermarket parts were also priced with a serious GT-R tax. All that being said, I'd pay those costs all over again.

I used to love the R8 until I drove one. For the money, it handles like an absolute pig. Still a beauty though.

Work's custom tune, Fujitsubo cat-back and AEM intake. Full AST suspension. New wheels.

No amount of modding is going to transform the Evo into the GT-R. The aerodynamic focus of the GT-Rs design makes it a completely different beast that must be experienced to appreciate. You can certainly make cars faster, but you can do that to the GT-R too.

But the whole point behind what I said earlier, you're 30k into an evo and 60-100k into a GTR right off the show room floor. $5k makes the power equivalent. So after that modding you're still only $35k into the evo where they perform similar. If you added injectors, intercooler, UICP, and a FP Red to that MR... I think you'd be saying something completely different.
