Evo X vs GT-R
I have enjoyed this thread..... I'd kid of like to expand its scope a bit....
I've been shopping to replace my EVO. I have looked at the GTR and GT2. It is obvious the EVO is best bang for buck .... and the GTR is big bucks..... so what falls in between the two?

Only one out of those cars I personally consider as good or slightly better than an evo is the M3... but again it boils down to preference and best bang for buck definitely goes to the evo.

I was thinking a GT2 or Z06 but I don't want a vette.

Hmmm... I've been on the track with all those cars and I don't think any of them can really compete. Maybe an audi RS4 maybe a modded Exige. Most of those cars don't even stand a chance against a slightly modded EVO.

most of you dont know what youre talking about.
if you knew what you were talking about, you would know how fast the s2000 is on a track. It DEF competes with the evo.
And im saying from experience. Ive owned 3 evos and 2 s2000s and all modded.
the s2000 with a non staggered tire setup. 255/40/17, a rear wing, coilovers, gears and a good alignment with a worthy driver will keep up around a track like Buttonwillow to 350whp evos all day. And the s2000 is only 210whp.
and thats no bull****...ive seen it. Street class s2000's have run 1:56 at buttonwillow on STOCK hp motors, the stock 240 crank hp. Evos doing that time have much more HP and mods typically.
the s2000 is all about handling and holding a high rate of speed...were the evo is all about powering out of the corners from as early as possible.
i own a 424whp evo right now and am not biased towards either car...but the evo forums need to stop thinking the evo is gods gift and realise that other cars ARE fast or have potential to be fast.
i do agree that stock the s2000 doesnt compare to modded evos, obviously and the s2000 is MUCH MUCH harder to drive fast around the track...so its not as common to see such consistant times. But look at the brian crower cwest s2000 too...very fast.

I agree with .MM the S2000 especially the CR is a force to be reckon with at the track. The car is well balanced and with a good driver it can out shine an AWD car.
you guys on this evo forum are so ****ing brainwashed and numb to your evos.

I love the s2000, but it's just not as practical as the evo, it's a convertible, and I think it's a little pricey for what you get. But it's still on my top ten.
Thanks for the compliment Rex, and I'll let my buddy know about the carbon pieces.

The CWest S2000 doesn't count... there is more money put in that car than the car costs brand new.
i only have one thing to post

Pump gas Catless with stock exhaust GT-R
VS dom2 pump gas EvoX
GTR weighs 3900
Evo x is 3675
