your Evo is unique... different strokes for diff. folks... I however will be painting my winter set (stock) white this weekend... RR + white ... I don't think i've seen anyone with stock white rims yet... I'll be the first??? anyhow.. goodluck with your color choice...

I don't think those two colors go well together at all! However I do like both colors individually. I must say, it looks way better than the guy that painted his wheels pink! lol.

Maybe it's the pictures itself, but I bet my opinion might change if I were to see it in person.

 

I saw your car driving by the Fashion Place Mall one time and wondering who that belonged to. I remember the Blue and Green combination that’s very unique. I also couldn’t help but notice that the car was a little loud. That in combination with the green wheels must be a cop magnet. Props for being original

 

Yeah the fitment is horrible, but I've measured it out and a 20 mm spacer will make everything flush. The wheels will still be convex, but I honestly think the concave look is played out.

The iForged wheels I buy soon will be very aggressive however... we're talking 19x10 +15 with 285's (since I'm not afraid of a fender roller )

I thought it was going to look horrible as I used to think only boring color combinations are "clean," but when I actually put the wheels on, my opinion changed.

It should look even better here in a few weeks when I get some nice CF aero parts on the car

Thanks Saul... yeah the exhaust is uncorked but the cops leave me alone. Actually, I've been pulled over once in the Evo just to get a lame warning for "accelerating too fast" lmao... on Bangerter Highway.

But yeah, Orlando has done shots of my other car before. We should do an Evo X shoot once mine is done visually in a month. I'll have Black Top Aero front lip + rear canard extensions, and AIT CF skirts to go with. Plus wheel spacers to make these flush. Would be pretty cool to have some nice shots of Octane Blue + Rally Red + Graphite Grey!

Any Honda can be done well... I know of several personally. I have several friends who have clean Hondas, it's just most of them are rice; and to compare a well-executed Evo X that is well-detailed and taken care for to a riced out Civic is just asinine.

But thanks for the compliment. I like it myself because it's just done very clean, and I think it will look even better once I get these wheels to fit flush. And superb once I get my iForged Neo's in the same color!

I do all of the work on my car myself, and it seems like people who know about that seem to have the most respect for the unique things I do with it. I take everything a unique direction because I have the flexibility to. And the car is no slouch power-wise... we're talking 360-370 WHP at sea level. Soon to be right at 500 WHP once I get my CBRD BB-X turbo.

So I figure a little flare is due for a quick little Evo. Done with the "sleeper" status, that's what my other car is for. Plus it's already a very aggressive, very racey looking car from the factory, why not continue to take it in the direction that Mitsubishi was when they fitted a ginormous spoiler to the trunk? I don't want to make it MORE boring with gunmetal or black wheels. Been there done that, it's just boring! Every time I walk up to it it's like "wow, this car looks ****ing insane" rather than "hmmm, this is a clean car." It's a totally different feeling and I love it! Anything else would be boring to me.

 

Looks real good man. I think it works very well. I just painted my stock mr rims green and my car is ww 8. I love the craziness....

 

i like the idea but i really dont like the wheels. I think it would look better with different wheels prolly sexy with a pair of advans rs. Also i think the combination would be better if the car was green and the rims blue maybe. but kudos for being unique and not a follower.

 

I hate concave wheels now that 90% of all Evos with aftermarket wheels have them. I especially hate Advan RS's My set of show wheels will be deep dish mesh style, and these will remain for street usage.

If you guys recall the wheels Vivid Racing had on their X while it was red; I'm getting those, and having my powder coater do the centers Candy Lime Green.
