HKS SSQV III Install

I bust out my tools today and went ahead and installed my HKS SSQV III BOV that I just picked up. I guess its a bling mod for the time being but I got it because Ive been reading that the stock BOV can start leaking at 27 + psi and I hope to have the accommodating mods to support that boost soon.

Anyways, I was surprised to open up the box and find the shiny piping but after looking at the instructions it made more sense.

The install was really easy actually, just had to take off the stock plumbing for the BOV and route the new HKS tubing. The nice thing is that it fits better than the stock unit with my AEM intake. Before the stock tubing would kinda hang over the intake but now it neatly tucks right around it.

I recirculated mine for obvious reasons, otherwise it would have faced forward.

Nice and tidy!

i had A LOT!!!!!!! of problems with that hks bov on my evo x, i will never buy another one ever again, hope you dont have the same problems...

the major problem i was having was the car would go into limp mode alll the time because that bov either stays all the way open or all the way closed and the ecu gets confused when the bov flutters (opening all the way or closing all the way)

but hope it works out for you, keep the stock bov just incase

It's been 3 days and everything good so far. I felt one instance where I had a bit of a shake when the BOV fluttered. Otherwise we are all good. Ill keep you guys posted if I run into problems.

YES! I spent a good 30min looking for it but all I found was the plastic washer. Im sure its long gone now. Finding a replacement wont be easy either. I think Im going to leave it be.
