Pretty sure those chrome mirrors are a dealer installed option...and the dealer made a bad decision to install them . I'd rock an SE if I was ready to buy. But, not for another couple years though, haha.

Comments like this are really sad, and somewhat ignorant. Those who are resistant to change get left behind. The transmission is not an automatic. It is a dual clutch manual transmission. The driver has full control of the gear selection, AND it shifts faster than you can. Now if you just enjoy having a clutch, that's fine, but this transmission is a better manual transmission. To call it an automatic is basically admitting that you have no idea how it actually works or what it's capable of. That comment ignores all but one feature of the transmission. That's like buying an EVO and never using it for anything but drag racing. You're missing the point and blatantly advertising that the reason you're missing the point is because you have no idea what you're talking about and lack to intellectual curiosity to at least learn something about the subject matter before forming a biased opinion.[/quote]

+ 1000 on this, and there was a wing deleat option on the 8 or 9 (can't remember which one) so there is a history of factory wingless Evo's in US.

Im keeping my wing and when get a x I'll be sure to get one with the SSS wing. In fact I want an MR to be precise. Maybe a tad off topic but if you picked up a V or VI would you ditch the wing? And if not why not.

AMEN! Thats why this car is called the evolution... if you guys haven't noticed most of the super cars are "AUTOMATIC" LOL! GTR... one of the fastest cars out is an automatic. I think its great that Mitsubishi is offering super car performance at a more attainable price. I love that it comes wingless. I spent money on buying a cf lip wing just to get that look LOL!

Some guy earlier mentioned that the wing is what makes the EVO an EVO. I have to strongly disagree. The 4cylinder awd turbo is what makes the EVO an EVO. The wing does not make the car.

I think everyone understands what a dual clutch transmission is at this point. It doesn't mean they have to like it. Short of an left leg injury I'll continue to resist. The SE is just another example of what most don't want in an Evo, and Mitsu will eventually realize they shouldn't abandon the market that made the Evo what it is today. Just look at all the used MR's out there. Think about it.

I'm not really sure what's makes this edition of the X so "special." If Mitsu wants to see some kick-*** special edition Evo's they need look no further than our show and shine section.
