That's what the window sticker said.

Comments like this are really sad, and somewhat ignorant. Those who are resistant to change get left behind. The transmission is not an automatic. It is a dual clutch manual transmission. The driver has full control of the gear selection, AND it shifts faster than you can. Now if you just enjoy having a clutch, that's fine, but this transmission is a better manual transmission. To call it an automatic is basically admitting that you have no idea how it actually works or what it's capable of. That comment ignores all but one feature of the transmission. That's like buying an EVO and never using it for anything but drag racing. You're missing the point and blatantly advertising that the reason you're missing the point is because you have no idea what you're talking about and lack to intellectual curiosity to at least learn something about the subject matter before forming a biased opinion.

The comments quoted above belong to ODUB, my sloppy editing made it look like i posted it. my apologies. of course he is 100% correct.

The SE is just another example of what most don't want in an Evo, and Mitsu will eventually realize they shouldn't abandon the market that made the Evo what it is today. Just look at all the used MR's out there. Think about it.
is not abandoning the market, they are expanding it, you can still get a manual EVO in 2011. In fact the 2011 GSR will have options previously only availabile on the MR.

PS: Check it out, Mitsu updated their site, note we can see "SE" on the EVO trim list... but why it says 2010 SE instead of 2011??????

i think its pretty ridiculous that you have to pay for the big spoiler now where as before you got it standard. Its like they give it too you one year standard and then take it away and make you pay for it like its new. Its just a dumb move allow evo owners to remove the wing themselves or offer a wing delete option. Thats really a terrible attempt at creating a SE smh

I know that, but prices on their website never correspond to prices at actual dealerships. At least not here in florida. A used evo with a rebuilt transfercase because it was cracked, and 35k on the clock is for sale here for 32k. And they wont budge from that price, even though the car was repo'd. Maybe the dealer closest to me just likes raping..

In 2003, the first year for Evos in the USA, the wing was a factory option.

Some guy earlier mentioned that the wing is what makes the EVO an EVO. I have to strongly disagree. The 4cylinder awd turbo is what makes the EVO an EVO. The wing does not make the car.[/quote]

Last I checked the "EVO" wasn't and isn't the only "4cylinder AWD TURBO car" out on the market world wide... Like before stated... The EVOs trademark look, apperance, exterior is known by it's stock wing...! It has and it is what has made an "EVO" and "EVO" as far as looks go... As to the STIs hood scoop... ect... Some people don't like it, some do... I'm not saying you should keep it and never take it off. I just get puzzled when they looked at other cars funny when they wanted to some how make their rides look like an EVO, and now they're trying to go for the look that those other rides now have... What ever floats anyones boat I guess...

It's nice to have a lower priced option with the SST. I, personally, would have preferred a stick with all the "comfort crap" but that's just me. I'm just not a big fan of flappy paddles for shifting.
