I actually ordered the 55W DDM kit in 3000K, since I'm looking for a nice yellow look in my fog lights. Since I also want to install the Hella Supertone horn, I'm going to be taking the bumper off to install both. That should make the job easier... I think

Best aftermarket HID kit I have ever used. I own 2 sets, plan to buy one more for my fog lights.

By the way, for Fog lights I would recommend the 35watt kit.

55w is way too much for fogs since they're in a much smaller housing.

I called DDM about this and they said that 55w should be fine. Is there actual evidence of melted anything with their 55w kits?

This is true.
55w kits are not recommended for fog light setups. The housings are usually small and will often melt whatever housing they're in.

I know for a fact 35w won't burn the housing or a plastic laminex cover.
The main difference between 55w hid and 35w hid is the 55w hid is more brighter than 35w if on the same color tempreture....but 55w Kits are not recommended for smaller fog light housings because they tend to concentrate a large amount of heat in a small area and might melt your housing, etc...

I know of this guy. He uses the money he makes from his business to fund his E46 M3 Track car. His work is TOP notch for conversions.

I took your guys' advice and contacted DDM to see if I can do a replacement for the 35w kit. I haven't even opened the package yet, so I'm hoping they'll be ok with it. I appreciate y'all looking out for me *bro hugs*
