I'm doing a projector retrofit on non SSS lights, and want to black them out.
Obviously I'm not blackening out the high beam bowl, but am doing the shroud and housing. But I don't know if I should black out the front turn signal reflector?
I'm looking for opinions on whether I should black it out, or leave as reflector. If I black it out, but keep the orange bulb, will that still keep me legal?
BTW.. the car is PB.
Here's an example of the turn signal reflector not blacked out.

Here it is blacked out:

Why not do a Bi-Xenon setup and black it all out? Honestly it may look weird if you black the low beam, not the high beam and then the turn signal. And not sure how it would look if you blacked just the low beam area. Those examples both look good to me and it's all based on personal preference really, I blacked my whole assembly except the projector and the city light clear area and lamin-x'd the reflector so it still reflects a little. But if you were to leave the center section on either account, not quite sure how that'd look. Anyone good at photoshop maybe? Also I'm not sure it's legal to black out the turn signal area like that. Honestly I didn't care, I blacked it out and put in chromed bulbs so there isn't a glare off the orange bulb so it's not nearly as bright as stock, but still visible.

I may do that on the next set. For now, just single.Originally Posted by racingguy13
