Something small, but makes me happy.
I've been wanting hood struts BAD. Ever since my first set of Tein hood struts on my WRX, I can't live without them on any of my cars. Unfortunately, for the Evo X there's not a whole lot of options.
After almost pulling the trigger on a set of Tein hood struts, I was browsing Speed Element and came across these...

I didn't even know these existed. Speed Element doesn't put them in the same category as the Tein versions and I hadn't seen them anywhere else. Being that they're cheaper than the Teins and carbon fiber to boot, I snapped them up. They arrived quickly (Speed Element rocks) and I put them on as soon as possible.

(I pulled out the stock lame prop rod as soon as these pictures were taken
)
They're real carbon fiber and went on quicker and easier than other kits I've had. Took me all of 10 minutes. They look great! They even allow you to have the hood "half open" for car shows and are plenty strong and have great action. Definitely a great option for those looking for a JDM hood damper!
