Evo X matte blue wrap

Hey everybody,

After a painful 5 days without my car I finally got it back last night after having it wrapped matte blue. Im really happy with how it came out. Check my other video of my first day walk around to see the difference between how it looked 5 days ago an how it came back!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1iZCW-1Krtk

Hope you guys like it and feel free to let me know what you think!

I kind of dig it.

What's the lifespan supposed to be like? What's the process for getting this stuff off? How does it look after it's taken off?

Wow that looks really good. I've been considering to wrap my car for some time now but are they hard to maintain?

Thanks for the replies guys.

The lifespan is usually 7 years but as i live in the middle east and due to our hotter climate they dropped it down to 5 years.

Because its a sticker it comes off very easily in around two hours and the paint work is the exact same as the day you put the wrap on, even after 5 years of having it on. They also will maintain it for me throughout the 5 years. For example if it bubbles or peals they will re-wrap that panel free of charge.

I got the place to take progress pictures as they were wrapping it but i havnt received them yet. As soon as i do i will post them so everyone can have an idea of the process of how its done (for those interested of course).

That car looks absolutely fantastic! If I wasn't already OB, I'd probably go with that color wrap.

Thanks everybody, the original colour was rally red and i always kind of wanted OB but there wasn't one available when I was buying my car. As far as maintaining it, you can treat it exactly like paint. You can use car washes or hand wash it what ever way you prefer.

There is a place here in the NW that would do a similar job for between $1800 and $2600, assuming quality of craftmanship is equal, of course. A guy up here got the more expensive option, which is double-wrapped and it isn't as bright looking as that, but it is a very thick wrap (I think less prone to damage as he road races). Looks very nice in person.

There is another car up here in the NW that got a matte orange done to his X. I haven't seen it in person yet, but the pictures look great.

Here is one thread (the guy with the matte orange originally had black/carbone to a CT9A)

*edit - here is a post of the guy with the matte blue up here.

Here is the matte orange X.

I paid around $1200 for the wrap and to get the windows tinted and they charged me $280 to paint the rims. Overall a very good price I think and they even gave me a courtesy car while it was being done!
