I just choose not to eat. Plus no girlfriend for the past few years really helps with mod money.
But I wanted to sell the Advans prior to buying the RS05RR's and needed something. I paid 630 with tax for the XXR's. I have a few people wanting them for 500$ so not a huge loss.
I just received my Enkeis yesterday and dropped them off at the powder coater. Couldn't find the size I wanted in the Matte Gunmetal so had to buy silver and have the coated.
The website I got the XXR says they are 23.8 pounds but not sure if that's accurate. They felt a couple pounds heavier than my Advans but that's just a guess. They also have the JWL/VIA stamp on them.
I think most people won't notuce the difference between a lighter and heavier wheel but everybody is concerned with it. I changed to Girodisk brakes and the Advan RSII's and couldn't feel a difference and that was a huge reduction in weight. There might be a difference but just nothing I felt.

It's not so much the spokes as the lip. But I have the Enkei 05RR's now and it's the same. I don't park by curbs much anymore and when I do I err on sticking out too far than being too close.
