Rexpeed vortex generator question.
Hey guys,
Not sure if this is the right section to ask questions but if it is not, please point me into the right direction so i can post there next time.
I have tried searching around for some info on the Vortex generators rexpeed sells. The carbon fiber ones and saw lots of mixed reviews. I was wondering, how is the fitment on them? for the people that have them. I was also looking into the APR ones as well but I didn't like how the fins were so small. I am mainly getting this for aesthetics. I want to bite the bullet and place an order for it but I have read too many mixed reviews about the vortex generators having a lot of gaps and does not sit flush but some people say it sits flush. I was wondering if anyone that has this can chime in and let me know so I can fully decide to place an order with rexpeed since I want their gurney flap as well.

depends if you have the flat roof or the the roof with grooves in it (if you have the sunroof-it's flat).
APR quality is far superior to Rexpeed and fits fine, but as far as I know, neither fits a flat roof.

Thanks for moving this to the right section. And it's ok. Just hoping someone would have a good answer for me.

I have the 2 humps on my roof so they should fit. I'm just worried about the "gaps" people report about with the Rexpeed, although, I do like how the Rexpeed looks because the fins are beefy. I know they are a copy of the chargespeed but i think they sell theirs waaay to expensive for me. If anything, I might go with APR since the quality will be a lot better overall.
That, i wouldn't know about. Sorry for not helping with this.

Make sure your antenna gap fits too.
APR has two versions and I've worked on them both. Version 1 uses a 1x1 plain weave, and Version 2 uses a 2x2 twill weave. Both fit fine but the finish on the Version 2 was better in my opinion. On the 1x1 it had the same peeling clearcoat that their wings get, so I sanded it all down and refinished it in a dry-look. There was nothing that could be done about the yellowing though, that goes inside the fibers :/

Gotta remember that sometimes you may have to sand a few edges to make it perfect, and that goes for any exterior mod. But with some 320 grit and a soft sanding block, anyone can make the edges perfect, and 320 is fine enough that you won't make a single, catastrophic sandpaper mistake and wind up ruining your new carbon
just rests on the top, next to it.

Would love to see the results before I bite the bullet on either one of my choices.
