Happy about my Insurance Rate

First of all, I know there are countless of threads created already regarding insurance on Evos particularly X's. So to the mods, by all means feel free to merge this with all the other insurance threads.

Anyway, to my excitement I thought I just had to share my next insurance policy. I will be renewing next month & was surprised to find out that I will only be paying $390/6mo. FULL COVERAGE as opposed to paying $636 on the previous policy! I thought this was too good to be true so I've contacted my insurance agency just to make sure & indeed they confirmed it! Haven't had any ticket/citations within the last 5 years of driving! I'm pretty sure there are a lot of you guys paying way less than what I'll be paying within the next coming months! I didn't think I could afford insurance on my X before I bought it earlier this year after reading horror stories about people having to pay thousands on their Evos!

PS: Posted my thread on the wrong section! Could someone please MOVE it under Evo X General? Sorry! :P

I'm paying $3600/year for two fully insured cars. It used to be that much for just the Evo since I bought the car when I was 20. My policies are full out, though. I picked the best possible options for everything, and deductibles are $250. Like if I get injured they they write me a $500 check every week I'm out of work.

Next year when I turn 25 I'll be eligible for special insurances to cover the modified value of my Evo. My friend with a very heavily built Subie had an agreed value of $80,000 or so and the payments were a fraction of normal insurance rates. Special rules like garage kept, 25+ years old, and other things apply, but I can't wait.

insurance is such a scam, even more so when your biannual payments reach into the thousands. the money you saved from going with just liability only would more than cover any repair you'll ever have or need.

that's a nice cheap price for full coverage. i'd do it too if it was that low. for whatever reason mine would never go below $800 despite a clean record. most likely because i'll have to buy full for a long time before it starts dropping.

you pay a lot on insurance there in canada. my friend who lives there always complain about how much more he's paying compared to us here. lol

I pay just a bump over 2k/yr for an Evo and a Saturn Sky. No accidents and no tickets in the last 6-7 years. Maybe I should look to switch.
