R3V's Build Journal

STOLEN 3/25/2014 at 2:30AM from my condo garage in Downtown Orlando.

I had a pretty long, very highly viewed journal over on IWSTI with my 06 STI. Figured I'll do a similar thing here, I like tracking my progress with the car.

I did an intro thread somewhere, I'll link to it if need be. I like to post lots of photos I take, not just of my own car but others as well + events and shows. This will be a photo heavy journal.

Long story short -

2012 WW Evo w/9Kish miles purchased in September, got a great deal on it since I was the salesman who took it in on trade. Old owner was/is a member on here. Good guy, has a lot of low mile parts still for sale if anyone needs stuff. I'll link to his profile here too. I've already lowered the car on Swift Spec-r's.

DSLR as promised:

Wish list below. Notice the trend? Power goal is about 400WHP, obviously I need more than the stuff listed below to hit that figure. Thinking MHI turbo upgrade with some fueling will do it with all of this as a base. Debating blowing my tax return on car parts...again...

ETS 2008 - 2013 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Evo X Package #1 - $1,629.95

Intercooler Core Thickness: 4.0" (No Trimming)
Anodizing Intercooler: Black
ETS Stencil: Yes, Please
Piping Color: Wrinkle Black
Boost Controller: GrimmSpeed EBC
Air Intake: Included

ETS 2008 - 2013 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution and EVO Package #2 - $1,769.00

Downpipe: Atmospheric Dump
Test pipe: Regular Test Pipe (No Cat/No Res)
Cat-Back: Extreme
Wideband Bung: Yes, Please
Adapter Flange: No, Thanks

So about $3,300 to buy it all new. Probable save some serious money if I keep an eye on the used marketplace and jump on parts when they pop up for sale.

Wheels:

AME Tracer TM-02 Wheel - 18x10.5 +22 - 5/114.3 - Gun Black - $2,200.00

Grand total of $5,500 Plus tires.....

Here are some photos of my old Subaru, I'll post some non-phone photos of my Evo in a few days.

Heeelllllllll no. I had it sold via my dealership before I bought the Evo, got an extra 2K over trade for the wheels. Not bad considering I picked them up in perfect shape for $1,500 two years ago.

Thats awesome! definitely a better price a private sale would get you nowadays. How did the dealership estimate the value of them?

ETS is definitely the way to go, Michael will get you set you up right. I have all those parts, only difference is I have the tomei testpipe and ets V2 exhaust. Only things I would suggest is to get a 3-port and switch the ETS extreme exhaust to something a bit quieter, maybe the ETS V2. The extreme is known to be blaring loud and drone like crazy.

From what I'm reading stock is very good, plus I can always crush it.

If anything I'd go with a synapse DV.

Well, I was the salesman who took the Evo in, and sold myself the Evo. I just told my boss how much I wanted and he gave it to me, and then I was tasked to sell it. I actually ended up delivering my old STI the same day I took my Evo home the first time.

I have the 3 port listed in the first package from ETS, the Grimmspeed option. I had the Invidia N1 Race (just a pipe) on my STI so the Extreme would have to be pretty damn loud to have a strong effect on me.

Thanks! I hope to order the parts soon. Maybe as a birthday gift to myself. Or from my wife that I order...

Here are a few more shots from the V2 Lab meet.

The rest of the FRS:

My setup isn't really suited for city automotive photography. Most of the time I shoot people/places. It's just a hobby but I've gotten MUCH better in the past year. A long way to go still!
