I picked up my Wicked White X today and am in need of some new wheels. Where are some sources for wheels. I'm leaning toward Advan RS or RZ's, OZ Superleggera, Enkie GTC01, Volk CE28N or Work Emotion XC8 in Gunmetal or Black. I have a source for the CE28N's in 18x8.5 +30 Gunmetal cheap. It would be nice to stay with 18's since there are more tire choices available and I have multiple sets sitting around including the OEM Advans.
I'm considering 19's but that will add another $1000 for tires. I wish there were more examples of Evo X's with 19's.
The Work, OZ and Enkei's are cheaper. Any suggestions on the CE28N vs. the Advans and 19's vs 18's?

Almost every EVO X at Tokyo Auto Salon was on 19's. We are running 18x9 +29 at the moment. it really comes down to how much you want to spend, you have to use your factory valve stems on the wheels that you decide to get since they have the tire monitor sensors on them. hope this helps.

...just out of curiosity, how much room is there in the wheel well for the X vs. the VIII or IX??? Can you run 9.5 or 10" wide wheels with 265 or 275 width rubber without rubbing the fender on the X? Also, does the X have the same bolt pattern as the XIII and IX or did they change it?

Awesome info.
^Vivid, Is that the widest the tires can go without modification?

I'm sure you can go wider, we just haven't tried yet, I think with some suspension mods we might have tire overload.

you can go anywhere from 18x9.5 +30 to 22 offset if you like. Its about how daring you want your car to look Originally Posted by delcat

I can help you get some decent sized wheels in aggressive offsets but you probably need to come down here and test fit a few sets that we have in stock

So if I want a set of 19x10 Advan RSs with a pretty aggressive fitment (very flush) which offset should I get?Originally Posted by VividRacing.com

A +35 will sit flush, then you have the +25 and the +15, I think you could do the 25 with some tweaking don't know about the +15. Originally Posted by EvolvedVIII
