20x10 on Evo X?
Rim Size index:
17 inch - Allows a high profile tire, allowing excellent traction and rarely a loss of grip. Also, you can run Yokohama rubber and some other compounds (hoosier).
18 inch - Same as 17's but rubber is pricier and your car's wheel wells get filled out better. Also, you can fit larger brake rotors and bigger calipers.
19 inch - Great for show, but you just lost any support you would want from yokohama or any other high performance tire manufacture (except Bridgestone and BFG which isn't that good anyways, except Bridgestone). Also, you have a great amount of grip lost because you cannot fill out the wheel wells with the tires.
20+ inch - FAIL
Go shoot yourself in the ****ing head OP.

Hoosier A6 & R6 Compitition Rated Tires fully support 19" Dia. Wheels
A6 - http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....1=yes&place=12
R6 - http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....1=yes&place=13
Hope this helps. I certainly don't want anyone shooting themselves in the foot if they want to go racing on 19" Dia. Wheels!
^ i second above, who said 20+ = fail?

not everyone that finds the Evo X to be a nice car would want to track the hell out their car, they might be people that like the price, the fact that its a 4 door which will fit their needs and its performance at its disposal for those odd times they want to gas it during their daily commute. If the owner thinks it'll look good, and the offset will fit the car itself, let him be.

lol it's so funny how many people see the thread title, don't even read any of the thread, just hit reply and type "evo 20's = fail." immature, frankly. childish bandwagon bull****, unnecessary and useless negativity.
if you don't think 20 inche wheels look good on an x, don't put them on your X.
to the OP- sorry dude, no one seems to know if it possible because no one has been willing to try it. i (and all the normal people in this thread) recommend you should go to a shop and test fit. it's the only way you can really know, because no one on the internet is gonna be helpful if you aren't trying to do it exactly the way they did. cuz, you know, they did it perfectly!
some of us want/have an x because we like how it looks and we like knowing we have a powerful, expensive vehicle. not all of us are going to race. hell, most of you guys are probably too foolish or untalented to even know what you are doing when you "track your car" or "mod it for performance" anyways. 90% of car mods are purely aesthetic, from your VOLK wheels to your damn goofy aluminum intakes with the lime green cones.

I came here hoping to see a dub on an X. What a bunch of whiney *****es in here. I find it interesting how some that don't own an Evo can give their 2 cents like they have experience. If the guy wants to put spokes on his Evo its his. Worry about your own car, even if its not an Evo.
Although you mentioned the proto type had 20"... dont they actually take away performance results/time/lateral g? I say stick with the size they came with. Remember that no more than 10 years ago, Factory oem cars came with 14" and 15" standard and we would upgrade to 16" and 17" for performance and looks.
