20x10 on Evo X?

Hey I was wondering if anyone had tried putting 20's on the new evo x?
I was looking to use a 10 as a daily driver and 18's look to small and 19's look good but I was trying get a set of 20's to stand out (and plus most 20" Tires are cheaper than 19's)
Volk Racing is stating to make everything in 20 inch now too, so I wanted to run 20x10 all around but I wanted to know what offsets and tire sizes to run? I was also planning to get BC coilovers to lower the car.

Any Info?

You could probably go with that setup and you might get away with a 10 switch hydralic system.

It would be the first EVO in history to look like that!

the fenders are pretty wide. based on how 18x9.5 look on a evo x, i think you can. there seems to be more room to go bigger

Go to tire rack, their site has almost everything. I found some 19 x 9.5's to go with my GG, but they ain't cheap, its gonna be a while b4 I get them:

with these tires:

20's would be great with a really stiff sidewalled low profile tire, talk about getting rid of body roll. Try to stay under 25 lbs. though

That brings up a question I had, how much do the OEM Enkei and BBS wheels weigh each? how much do the stock tires weigh?

If you think 18 is too small you may have been rolling with the "other" crowd.
And "twenty" ain't gonna "stand out". The word on the street is "twenty-six". Yo!

let me rephrase that, 18's look too small on an evo x, they look like 17's on a IX don't get me wrong 18x9.5+12 CR-Kai's are nice wheels but they look a little to small for my likeing b/c a x just looks like a bigger car. To me 20's on a X is the equivalent 19's on a XIII or IX.

You may be right. I'll have to go look at an X with 20" in person. :}
Just remember that adding larger wheels is usually bad for the performance of these small displacement cars.

I figured from a performance standpoint 20's are not the way to go, but I was just looking for a nice looking "Daily Driver" with a set of ***** (just in case).

Tiny tires are good, especially with stiff sidewall... Less body roll.

At 19" tires and light weight rims weigh about the same. At 20" you are adding some extra weight, but with some really low profile tires, you can cut some of that weight back off, and with really stiff sidewalls you make up for it with less body roll.

I think 20's are perfect, just back off of the chrome and go lightweight and you'll be a'ight.

You're right. 18" do look to small and I personally think 19" look good.

There is definitely room to fit 20" under the fenders. Infact, I may be alone, but I think it would look ridiculously sick. Goodluck.
