CBRD- Eibach install with pics and review...

well,

we test fitted some GTWORX/RCE springs yesterday and some changes need to be made, so we went with some eibachs...

we normally work with GTworx/RCE guys pretty close, and are looking forward to getting a final production set soon... but for now, these eibachs will do..

currently the car has 18x9.5 et 15 rpf1's with 265/35-18 re01r's... but with Advan stopping in last week wanting to support us, we are switching to a 19x10 with a 285/30-19 Advan Sport. We should have them next week and I will post pics..

regardless... here are some pics of the install process, fairly straightforward and very similar to the old car.... Mark knocked it out well, and the car has a great improvement in looks... im half and half on the ride quality.... even with bump rubber trimming the car feels as if it may lay itself on the stops quite easily... I may do some measurements to check....

here ya go..

in the box

lots of dead coils on the rears..

front lower strut attachment apart (required a 19mm socket, 12mm socket, and a screwdriver to pop a plastic clip off)

loosening the upper 14's

then into the compressor

instructions for bump stop trimming... front requires removing a tension ring, and rear requires removing and trimming..

rears

trunk coming apart, finally some nice push pins that dont fire down into the interior cubbies when released

mitsu could have made a useable trunk had they moved the washer res and battery... oh well, cant do everything right..

into the compressor again

and side by side...

and the car when its finished..

overall nice improvement because of the lowered stance... a bit harsher than i expected... but they will work for now.

cheers

Looks real nice.

We'll keep you updated with our springs....you can count on ours not being as low as that so you won't be on the bumpstops. That should help the ride AND handling of the car. Chad will probably be the first to test them out!

Looks really good. The Eibachs are a real bang for your buck I think. I can't complain at all on mine. I left the the Bump stops and rings alone. No issues at all and the ride is a touch rougher then stock but not really that noticeably. Wait till the springs settle more though. My rears are about your height, wheel gap wise, but my fronts are about equal to the rears. I kinda regret getting the aero kit now just cause of how low the front is but man does it look mean driving down the road.
