BUMP!
Noob questions: does the center frame brace replace a stock brace? If so, how does it compare to the stock one? What does it really do in real world driving (I know it add chassis rigidity but how does that translate into actual driving feel)?
Saw this on sale at a local shop for $210, wondering if I should get it.
Anyone have info on the Carbing center frame brace (whether it replaces a stock piece or is it an add-on? what does it do in real world driving?) I googled and searched the forums but couldn't find much beyond a few people have them in their mod lists.
Anyone? Is it an add on or replacement?

Interesting.
That would seem to be the equivalent of the Cusco front lower brace:
It's using the same two points on the chassis, but different points on the subframe. I have no clue which is a better approach.
Does Okuyama also make a brace that connects forward from the subframe? Cusco does:
In any event, my (limited) experience with bracing subframes is that it is not worth it unless you are running R-compounds or better. But if you have swapped all of your bushings for poly or better, and the car still doesn't seem tight, maybe....
