maybe if you do it yourself, no tire place will do it. since they would be liable for it. if you want to try yourself you can buy the kits from walmart, the plugs. i've done a few of my own, but never that close to the sidewall.

not a problem, have it plugged. Just don't use an old rope type plug and you're good. The plug will outlast the tire.

I had something similar like that, but the nail in my tire went up into the sidewall. Had to replace it...good luck with yours.

BUT I would not track this tire or run very high speeds with it.

Later, Ken

I had a nail in my tire after damn Hurricane Ike from all of that damn debri on the road I just took it to Discount tire and they fixed right away...Havent had any issues at all, but then again I dont track/race my car, just DD. If you do take it to a place like that tho, be careful that they dont scratch up/scuff your rims. One of my rims ended up being scuffed after this...I was pissed but I didnt notice after I had already left.

I don't think many tire shops will patch that, due to it being so close to the sidewall.
It will hold temporarily.

Not very safe.

If it was more toward the center, I'd say no problem...

I had a huge screw in my advan. I bought a kit for like $6, plugged it, and haven't had any trouble whatsoever. The lower the tire wears the more likely this will give out obviously.
