wheel & Tire size help

Could someone tell me what is best size tire to use on a 18x10 +18 setup lowered on Eibach's. I want to avoid rolling the fenders. Could someone tell me the lowest width I can go and the largest I can go without rubing.

Thanks alot

You can try some 275/30/18 tires, I think that is the lowest profile...not sure if it ll rub though.

At that offset, a lot of what you're going to need to do will come down to camber and the tire (since some tires are wider for the same nominal width).

I think that a 265/35 will be the safest and a skinnier 275/35 will be close. That's a fairly aggessive fitment and I would not be surprised if you rubbed if you don't roll.

You should try and max your camber out front (-2 to -2.5 without camber plates) and maybe go a touch higher than stock (-1.5ish) in the rear.

ok thanks, Im thinking about 255/35/18 but I really did not know if that would work without rubing.

255/35 is a terrible size for the X and will look all sorts of weird and short.

The stock is 245/40 and the next size up that's almost exactly perfect is 275/35.

So 255/35 will look way shorter than the stock and 265/35 will be a bit shorter.

ok, I was going by what a vendor told me they would use, So thanks for the heads up.I would really just like it to be as flush as possible while not rubing so I will get what ever works the best...

So now Im looking at 275/35

definitely dont go with 255 it will be waaayyyyy stretched (unless you are into the "stretchie" look) i would have to say 275 based on having 10" rims as well.

beetle_orange, how flush are yours to the fenders with the +35? The OP is looking at +18, so that's 12mm closer to the fender.

I think CityTire said that 18x10 +35 fits with no mods to the fender.

i THINK they look perfect. i PERSONALLY feel that if i had gotten a +25 i would have had to roll my fenders, just like what jackygor said. having said that i think they look flush. with the OP going for +18 he is gonna need some major fender rolling and some negative camber i believe. if i can redo it though i would have definitely gone with 275 tires.

if jackygor has a +25 offset and he said he has about half and inch of the tire sticking out i think you may or may not need to roll with a +20 offset. with a 9" width the 245 will be stretched but not as bad as putting 255 on a 10" width tire.
