It is very rare to actually warp a rotor. 99% of the time, a "warped" diagnosis is uneven brake pad transfer. Warping may occur with defective disks made wrong in the casting process. There is a good thread on brakes in the Evo 1-9 forum.

Do you have the two piece or one piece rotors in front?

what you are talking about smgevo is called "judder"
I have had constant issues with my Evo...i have been thru 3 sets of rotors and each rotor has been turned atleast 2-3x. Everything in the brake system has been replaced as well, and the issue still comes back every 1500mi. Also i don't race this car or drive it hard. The problem always comes back if i drive on the highway for more then 2-3hrs. And that is with cruise control. So i am pretty sure i have a defect in the hubs or somewhere else in the system. If more people are having this problem they need to highlight this for Mitsu attention.

The one piece set.

I think it is the pads.... could it be something to do with the surface of them?? .... I do go over 30 spped bumps on my way to and from work every day (20 min each way)..... not hard braking... but lots of it!!!!!

That shouldn't over task the brakes at all especially the size of ours.

I am familiar with the term. It appears that your problem may not be the rotor itself but something else in the suspension system as you make mention. If you have replaced three sets of rotors and turned them (not always recommended), then it is safe to say it is not the rotors.

Were the calipers replaced?

Yeah i think the rotors aren't the problem either. I think it is something in the suspension or brake system. Some of the lines have been replaced as well as the abs pump, but the problem continues to come back after about 3hrs of driving continuosly. Mitsu has washed their hands and says i am just driving the car to hard...lol. Its my commuter car (11mi to work) and a road trip queen. I have grown incredibly fed up with mitsu and their lack of concern for this, my rotors warp so bad i can't even stop effectively. I had to stop driving my car and pick up a beater truck just so i can travel for my job.

Yes the both pads and the right caliper has been replaced. Both rotors warp...and it appears my rear rotors are warped now too (i took it to firestone to get a complete brake eval)

When i get in the car in the morning everything is okay ...... but about 10-15 min later, when I get on the highway (70mph) i can hear a squeak squeak squeak (3 or 4 per second) sometimes, but not all the time .......it is only faint. If I press the brake, the noise goes away, but comes straight back.

Mitsubishi told me I had damaged the pads and discs by braking too hard.... I just pointed the badge at the back of the car and said "its an Evo" I've not done anything to it that should cause it a problem!!

Anyway, Ralliart said that it was unlikely that I would have damaged the system so the dealer refinished the discs for free but wanted to charge for new pads. Again, Ralliart said that there was no need to change the pads just yet, but I should see how it goes!

Anyway, one day in and it is squeaking again, but not as loud and not nearly as much ..... will see how it goes.... I'd put my money on the pads!
Mine does this too- any ideas why?? Its only occasionally- maybe 1 day out of the week. Weird....

Have the service manager or regional rep take the car home for the weekend and drive it "normal" so they can see for themselves.

I would never give someone, even from the service department, a chance to play in my Evo. They wanted to physically take my car themselves to a local upholstery shop to get the notorious seat (staple issue) fixed. I said no way, i'll drive and send you the bill.
