i am thinking of dropping my car but i cant decide which one to pick. i have seen a lot of evo x owners with eibach springs installed. is there anyone who has the tein s ? any pics? and how is the ride?

IN terms of ride quality I've always found the Eibach's to be extremely bouncy compared to other spring manufacturers. Tein's have always been comfy as well as Espilir.

From what i hear Teins Suck!!! The springs become very saggy in a very fast amount of time and they start to give out eventually....i don't know if that's 100% true, but a few evo owners told me that and i was just like, ohh waho.....didn't know that. So yah....just stating it, haha.
And Espillir are to be rated a very very good quality spring.

It's been a few years since I had springs but from what I remember, I had a similar experience with Tein springs. Tried a few different ones on a few different cars and they're fine at first but deteriorate a bit more rapidly compared to other springs (just my personal experience). On the other hand, I've had a lot of friends that loved their Eibach springs. If you're comparing just between Tein and Eibach, I'd go with the latter. Originally Posted by Domolution

im on the eibachs right now.
been almost 8 months.
seems lower than the height it says it supposed to be but its a nice drop,
feels almost like stock in my opinion over bumps but handles a bit nicer.
I didnt even align it no unusual tire wear or anything as if i didnt even drop it but thats me.

i also was looking at the tanabe df210 and they have a pretty decent drop than the eibach.
anyone has these springs yet on their evo x and can give some ideas?

I was also wondering about the Tein S-tech springs. I emailed Tein a couple weeks ago asking about them, since I couldn't find a picture anywhere of someone who had them installed. They sent me a few pictures of the S-techs installed on a GSR with stock wheelsOriginally Posted by dongchad

I would've like to see the car dropped on aftermarket wheels, that way they'd be flush with the fenders and it'd be easier to see the wheel gap, but it looks pretty decent. I still think the Eibachs have the perfect stance for lowering springs.
thanks for the pics on the tein s, i think the drop is fine. actually i like it more than the eibach pro because its a little more lowered.(thats just me) i just wish eibach comes out with the sportline, they probably have the perfect stance for the evo x.

My Eibachs feel a little stiffer than the stock suspension. Bumps are a little more jarring now, but it's nothing too extreme. The ride height is perfect too. Swift's drop just isn't enough to make a noticeable difference IMO.
